Nottingham Forest fans criticise Michail Antonio for Huddersfield Town performance

The winger has been exceptional at times this season, but appears to be struggling at the moment.

Nottingham Forest's renaissance under Dougie Freedman appears to be tapering off. The club have now not won in their last five games and talk of a late surge for the play-offs is well and truly dead.

When Freedman first came in the form of the club soared. One main reason for that upsurge in results and performances was the form of Michail Antonio.

The wide-man has been one of Forest's best players this season. In fact, you could go as far as too say he has been the best Forest player.

But in recent games he has struggled for form and yesterday saw him put in perhaps his least inspiring performance of the season.

Forest lost 1-0 at home to Huddersfield Town yesterday, Sean Scannell bagging the goal for the Terriers.

Antonio failed to have an impact on the game, was constantly going down too easy under challenges and at times seemed disinterested. While Forest fans obviously appreciate how good he has been this season, they were not keen on this turnout.

In the end he was subbed off for Oliver Burke and in truth, he deserved to be hauled off.

Here is some of the best Twitter reaction to his performance against Huddersfield...
