The agent of Koln defender Kevin Wimmer has told PLBOLD that there are three Premier League clubs in negotiations to sign him.
Wimmer, 22, is one of the top young centre backs emerging in Europe right now, and has been gradually becoming more important for Bundesliga side Koln since his 2012 from LASK Linz.
After featuring regularly this season, the Austrian international is earning rave reviews - and unsurprisingly attracting interest as a result.
Recent reports from Koln-based newspaper Expressen suggested that Wimmer had already agreed a move to Tottenham ahead of the summer transfer window, whilst Wimmer himself told Austrian website Laola that talks with Spurs were progressing well.
Mauricio Pochettino will certainly be looking to sign a centre back this summer after shaky recent performances from Eric Dier and Federico Fazio.
However, the Daily Star recently reported that Arsenal were looking to hijack Tottenham's bid to sign Wimmer, and take him to the red half of North London instead.
Now, Wimmer's agent Karol Csonto has told PLBOLD that whilst they are in talks with Tottenham, there are two other clubs in the running too - and whilst he didn't name any specific teams, Arsenal could well be in the frame.
"In addition to Tottenham, there are two other Premier League clubs who are in negotiations with Koln about Kevin," Csonto said. "If Kevin continues the great form he's shown in the Bundesliga, it's only natural there will be interest."
