Ex-Tottenham attacker Iago Falque nets in Genoa win

The Spanish attacker scored his seventh goal of the season for the Serie A outfit.

Former Tottenham attacker Iago Falque is seemingly finding his feet in Italy, with the Spaniard adding to this season’s goal tally in Genoa’s 2-0 win over Cagliari yesterday.

The 25-year-old was an exciting addition at White Hart Lane after coming through the ranks at Barcelona and Juventus, but was never given a chance in the Spurs first-team.

Falque has become an important member of the Genoa side since leaving North London, and scored his side’s second in their victory yesterday with this cool left-footed finish.

The goal was Falque’s seventh of the season for the modest Serie A club.

Tottenham cashed in on the Spaniard last summer, recuperating a fee believed to be in the region of €5 million for the attacker.
