West Ham fans react on Twitter to Sam Allardyce substitutions in Stoke draw

Allardyce deflated

The fans were not pleased to see Diafra Sakho, Alex Song and Enner Valencia come off.

West Ham took on Stoke City at Upton Park this afternoon and in the end came away with a 1-1 draw from what was a tight affair.

The Hammers took an early lead after an excellent strike from Aaron Cresswell, one of the star performers on the day, but in the end they were left to rue the full-time result.

Marko Arnautovic bagged the equaliser late on, but West Ham fans were in no doubt who was to blame for the result. Sam Allardyce.

Hammers fans have been venting on Twitter since the game about Big Sam's substitutions in the game.

He brought on Kevin Nolan, not currently a fan favourite, for Alex Song. He then took off strikers Enner Valencia and Diafra Sakho for Carlton Cole and Morgan Amalfitano - negative decisions that baffled the fans.

The team lost shape from the subs and in the end they were punished by the Austrian international at the death.

Allardyce's reign at the club is currently in doubt, as his contract expires at the end of the season. After an excellent start to the season things have petered out for The Hammers and most fans seem to want the gaffer gone in the summer.

Here is some of the best Twitter reaction to his substitutions from West Ham fans...
