Swansea City boss Garry Monk tweets following Everton draw

Swansea City and Everton played out a 1-1 draw at the Liberty Stadium in the Premier League today.

Swansea City manager Garry Monk has taken to social networking site Twitter to express his pride at the team’s performance against Everton today.

The Swans played out a 1-1 draw with the Toffees at the Liberty Stadium in the Premier League.

Tottenham Hotspur-owned winger Aaron Lennon fired Merseyside outfit Everton into the lead from a James McCarthy cross four minutes before the break.

Former Liverpool midfielder Jonjo Shelvey equalised for the Swans from the penalty spot in the 69th minute.

The point that Swansea collected from the game today means that the Welsh club have now equalled their record Premier League points tally of 47.

Monk was disappointed not to have broken the record today, but he is still proud of the team.

Swansea are currently eighth in the Premier League table with 47 points from 32 matches and will almost certainly break their points tally record before the end of the season.

The Swans are back in league action next weekend when they take on Leicester City away from home at the King Power Stadium.
