The Argentine could not complain about Tottenham's defeat to Villa.
Tim Sherwood enjoyed what was a well deserved win and celebrated in passionate style at the full-time whistle.
After the game Mauricio Pochettino had no complaints about the defeat. The Argentine told the official Tottenham website, as reported by the club Twitter account that Spurs lost the game because of a lack of intensity and aggression:
Mauricio: "We lacked intensity in the first half and we increased it in the second period but it wasn't enough."— Tottenham Hotspur (@SpursOfficial) April 11, 2015
Mauricio: "You have to match them for aggression but maybe we were one step behind today."— Tottenham Hotspur (@SpursOfficial) April 11, 2015
Spurs lost courtesy of a Christian Benteke goal but they struggled throughout the game to keep up with the tempo Villa were going at in the fixture.
The result was fantastic for Villa, who now stretch away from the relegation mark in the Premier League. Villa are loving life under the former Tottenham boss, who was controversially let go last summer by Spurs.
Meanwhile Tottenham's season is flickering out of light. They are now occupying seventh spot and Southampton stretched ahead of them today. Liverpool can do so on Monday night.
They will need to pick things up at St James' Park next Sunday.
