Fulham fans react on Twitter to Celtic-linked Ross McCormack's performance on Twitter

The Cottagers drew 2-2 with Wigan Athletic on Friday night, with Ross McCormack getting on the scoresheet.

The last thing Fulham would have wanted with the distant possibility of relegation was one of their star players linked with a move away.

That's exactly what the west London side got on Friday afternoon, however, as striker Ross McCormack was reported by the Scotsman to be a summer target for Scottish champions Celtic.

But the speculation, if McCormack was aware of it, didn't seem to hinder the Scot as Fulham took on Wigan Athletic in the Championship.

Some expressed reservations about the 28-year-old's performance but many simply raved about 'super Ross McCormack' after he once again netted for the struggling Cottagers. Celtic fans may well have been watching, too, as the man Fulham paid big money for hit the back of the net once again in west London.

While Fulham's struggles continued, meanwhile, McCormack very much showed why he is one of their leading lights. Fans even booed in injury time as boss Kit Symons - for some reason - took the Scot off for a defender.

Is McCormack a realistic transfer target for Celtic? And how much would they have to pay to land him if so?

These are all questions that may well be answered (unless the rumours simply peter out) but, for now, Fulham supporters are too busy expressing their relief they have someone of McCormack's quality during their time of need.
