Feyenoord technical director Martin van Geel has told Dutch website Rijnmond that he will do whatever it takes to sign Celtic striker John Guidetti.
Feyenoord have not only named ex-Rangers midfielder Giovanni van Bronckhorst as their new manager from this summer, but confirmed on their official site that former Liverpool winger Dirk Kuyt is also returning to De Kuip at the end of the season.
Kuyt, 34, left Feyenoord in 2006 for Liverpool, but is now returning to his former club after almost nine years away - but Feyenoord still have their eye on one more return.
Technical director van Geel has told Rijnmond says that he still wants to bring striker John Guidetti back to Rotterdam, after the Swede enjoyed a superb loan spell with the club in the 2011/12 season.
"We will do everything to get that done. He has said many times that he wants to come back," said Van Geel, who was at the club during Guidetti's previous stint with Feyenoord.
Guidetti, 22, is currently on loan at Celtic until the end of the season, and has hit 14 goals in 30 games for the Bhoys - a record which could attract some interest when the Swedish international becomes a free agent this summer.
The Manchester City-owned striker spent a season on loan with Feyenoord, scoring a staggering 20 goals in 23 games for the Eredivisie side, becoming something of a fan favourite during his time in Rotterdam.
A return could be very appealing for Guidetti, who has found himself as second choice to Leigh Griffiths at Celtic for much of 2015.
It's unclear whether Celtic would even want to sign Guidetti permanently after a torrid run in front of goal - which makes a return to Feyenoord all the more likely this summer.
