Celtic fans react on Twitter to Nir Bitton's 'shocker' against Inverness

Celtic fans were less than impressed with Nir Bitton's performance against Inverness.

Celtic's winning run ended at three games after a frustrating 1-1 draw away at Inverness Caledonian Thistle on Saturday afternoon.

The Bhoys entered the game having beaten Partick Thistle 2-0 in midweek, but couldn't notch another win as they drew for just the fourth time this season.

Leigh Griffiths gave Celtic the lead in just the third minute, only for Inverness to hit straight back through Edward Ofere, and with no more goals, all the goal action game in the first five minutes.

Celtic remain on course to win the title, with an eight point gap over second placed Aberdeen, but fans were frustrated with the performance.

Celtic had plenty of the ball but just didn't have the cutting edge in the final third to snatch a winner, but surprisingly, fans were critical of holding midfielder Nir Bitton after the game despite the problems being in attack.

Bitton has been impressive this season, adding height and physicality in midfield, whilst also using the ball well alongside Scott Brown.

Yet against Inverness, Bitton was out of sorts; his passing wasn't as crisp as usual and he struggled to have an impact on the game.

That was picked up by Celtic fans on Twitter after the game, who were virtually unanimous in their criticism of the Israeli international.
