Despite not taking all three points after taking the lead at Swansea City on Saturday afternoon, there were a number of positives for Everton at the Liberty Stadium.
A point is a point after all and, during their 1-1 draw, the Toffees looked more encouraging than they have for most of the current season. Steven Pienaar also impressed, while supporters appear to have made their minds up about Tottenham loanee Aaron Lennon.
Indeed, it was the Spurs winger who gave Everton the lead at Swansea, with a penalty cancelling his opener out. But, despite the usual criticism from some quarters about a lack of end product, no amount of opposition goals could spoil what was seen by Everton fans as another positive display from the 27-year-old.
Lennon so often frustrated at Tottenham but, considering the lack of quality shown by Andros Townsend and Erik Lamela this season, there could still be room for him to make an impact at White Hart Lane - especially if Mauricio Pochettino can show a bit more tactical flexibility.
But it might not even get to that, as Everton fans appear more and more convinced that they want the wide man on board full-time. Here's what Toffees supporters made of the Tottenham loanee's performance at Swansea...
Lennon has completely won me over. Was unsure, but adds a lot on that right flank. Would have no issues signing him permanently #EFC— Matt Jones (@MattJFootball) April 11, 2015
Lennon is becoming a really impressive player for us. Good to see Pienaar back as well #EFC— Radityo Wicaksono (@Tyo_EFC) April 11, 2015
Once again, after today I'd take Aaron Lennon.— BAINAAR (@HarryEFC) April 11, 2015
