It certainly was a great day in the life of Tim Sherwood, and Aston Villa for that matter. The Villans travelled to Tottenham Hotspur's White Hart Lane today, where Tim Sherwood was unceremoniously dumped last summer - and won.
Villa won 1-0 and it was a player he has truly got firing again who did the damage.
Before his arrival at the club Christian Benteke was going through a fairly abysmal spell in front of goal. He had scored just three goals this season before Sherwood arrived, he now has 12, including five in his last three games.
Considering he was sent off the last time these two met in the Premier League this season truly signifies his turnaround in form.
His performance today did not go unnoticed.
