Sunderland will be looking to make it back-to-back wins in the Premier League on Saturday, when they take on Crystal Palace at home.

The Black Cats will head into the clash against Palace at the Stadium of Light on the back of a 1-0 victory over Newcastle United at home.

It was Dick Advocaat’s first win in charge of Sunderland and has enhanced the team’s chances of survival in the Premier League this season.

Sunderland are currently 15th in the Premier League table with 29 points from 31 games, just three points above the relegation zone.

Palace find themselves 11th in the league standings at the moment with 39 points from 31 matches and are virtually guaranteed of their Premier League status for next season.

The Eagles will head into Saturday’s encounter on the back of a brilliant 2-1 home win against defending English champions Manchester City.

Palace, who have lost only one of their last nine away matches in league and cup, would be fifth in the table If the Premier League had begun when Alan Pardew took over as manager.
