Queens Park Rangers boss Chris Ramsey has praised Clint Hill's performances so far this season.

Chris Ramsey has praised experienced defender Clint Hill at his press conference today, saying that the defender has been 'fantastic' ever since he was appointed as manager.

Hill has been a regular in QPR's backline since Ramsey took charge and scored his first Premier League goal in the side's 3-3 draw against Aston Villa earlier in the week.

It was a momentous occasion for the veteran defender, and Ramsey took time out to praise his contribution earlier.

It is fair to say that Hill is not the most naturally gifted footballer in QPR's squad, but his commitment to their cause cannot be questioned and he will important as the side look to avoid the drop this season.

Hill is the sort of player who sets an example to his teammates and he will need to ensure that he doesn't let his current standards slip if QPR are to finish above the bottom three.

At the moment the R's are lodged in 18th place in the Premier League table, but they will realise that a few wins will see them to safety, as there are plenty of teams within touching distance of them.

Getting three points this weekend could be tough for Ramsey's side, though, as they face league leaders and west London rivals Chelsea at Loftus Road on Sunday.
