The Swede had a successful loan spell at the club in 2011-12.
Today saw former Liverpool hero Dirk Kuyt confirm that he was on his way back to Feyenoord after nine years. The Dutchman confirmed the news to De Telegraaf today, and in doing so he also mentioned his desire for someone else to return to the club - Celtic striker John Guidetti.
The Swede is currently on loan at Celtic Park from Manchester City and has netted 14 goals in 31 appearances this season.
But he also played at Feyenoord on loan in the 2011-12 campaign.
Kuyt said of the striker in the article with De Telegraaf:
"He has demonstrated he is a real Feyenoord player. Like me, he was very quick to click with the fans.
"To be honest, I lost sight of him a bit after Feyenoord because he did not play much at Manchester City and the Scottish League, with Celtic, was difficult to follow in Turkey.
"But if he can deliver the fitness and quality he had at the time, he is a tremendous asset."
Guidetti was a massive fan favourite during his loan spell with Feyenoord. He scored 20 goals in 23 games before it all came unstuck with a bizarre illness which attacked his nervous system and left him out of action for over a year.
He missed Euro 2012 as a result of his untimely ailments and has only really rediscovered his best form in the past year.
It was reported that the Celtic loanee was wanted back at Feyenoord in March by the Daily Record and it would appear that Kuyt would happily give the thumbs up to the signing.
