Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez is set to be a marked man at Turf Moor.

Burnley midfielder David Jones has told the Lancashire Telegraph that his side must pay close attention to Arsenal superstar Alexis Sanchez when the two teams meet at Turf Moor on Saturday.

The Chilean international has experienced a wonderful debut season after trading Barcelona for the Gunners last summer, scoring 14 goals in 28 Premier League appearances.

In his last outing against the Clarets, the former Udinese man tormented Sean Dyche’s side and found the back of the net twice in the final 20 minutes.

Both sides head in the encounter needing victory for very different reasons, and Jones feels if his team are to succeed then they must remain concentrated, especially up against the naturally-gifted Sanchez.

"He did play well at the Emirates. He's quite small in stature and very quick, and he can turn on a sixpence so it's very hard to pick up players like that,” Jones admitted.

“Even if you read where he's going, you can't always stop him. He's a very sharp player, and pace and skill will always be a threat. He’s top player so concentration has got to be key for us - as we demonstrated against City and against Spurs."

As per the table provided by Opta Stats, it is has been a truly wonderful campaign for Sanchez and his presence has coincided with the Gunners’ 2015 title-winning form.

The 26-year-old averages 3.11 shots, 2.46 key passes, 3.5 successful dribbles and 5.39 ball recoveries per Premier League fixture.

Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini claimed that Sanchez was the best player in English football back in January, according to The Daily Mail, and there seems little which could have changed his mind over the past few months.

Arsene Wenger’s side head in to the encounter having won 10 of their previous 11 league matches, and with such a strong attack they will rightfully be favourites to dispatch a solid Burnley side on Saturday.
