Tottenham are reportedly interested in signing 1860 Munich midfielder Julian Weigl this summer.
According to German newspaper Bild, Tottenham are interested in signing 1860 Munich midfielder Julian Weigl - but face competition for him.
It seems that Pochettino now has little intention of changing his philosophy, with Bild believing that Spurs have put Weigl on their summer transfer wish list.
Weigl, 19, joined 1860 Munich in 2010, and having come up through the youth setup, Weigl has now become a first-team regular at the Allianz Arena.
In fact, Weigl is so highly-rated in Germany that he was handed the captain's armband by 1860 at the start of the season, becoming the club's youngest ever skipper at the age of 18.
Bild now suggest that Spurs want to sign the lanky central midfielder, but face competition from Borussia Dortmund and Juventus.
Pochettino already has two young central midfielders at his disposal in Bentaleb and Mason, whilst Tom Carroll and Dele Alli are also set to return to White Hart Lane from loan spells this summer.
Adding another youngster into that mix would be a surprise, but if Tottenham rate Weigl highly enough, then they may well make a move to sign him anyway.
