Nottingham Forest loanee Gary Gardner has high praise for Liverpool star Jordan Henderson

The Aston Villa owned star was praising the work rate of Henderson on Twitter today.

Gary Gardner, the younger brother of West Brom midfielder Craig, joined up with Nottingham Forest on loan in January from Aston Villa.

He has recently been one of the form players at Nottingham Forest, as they forged a last ditch tilt at the playoffs.

It looks like they have come up short but Gardner, whose future at Aston Villa seems to be up in the air, now faces an interesting summer.

He is however still young and can improve even more, which is probably why Forest will want to keep him for next season.

And last night he revealed someone who he seems to look up to, and if he can emulate his transformation from talented midfielder to talisman he will be on the right track.

The player in question is Liverpool vice-captain Jordan Henderson. The England international has had a great season at Anfield and last night was in top form against Blackburn Rovers in the FA Cup.

The Forest loanee was just one of several people who was impressed with the performance of the Liverpool star, as he highlighted on Twitter:

Both Forest and Villa fans will hope he can become a Henderson like figure at their clubs in the future. Time will tell which club that will be.
