QPR, Burnley and Leicester currently occupy the bottom three places in the table and Keown doesn't believe they will be able to escape.
Keown says that the late equaliser that QPR conceded against Aston Villa earlier in the week could prove costly and he expects things to stay as they are at the bottom of the table.
"I think it’ll be the current bottom three who go down," he wrote in his weekly Tackle Keown feature. "I think that late equaliser for Villa will help them no end – it’s always better to have the points in the bag than be looking at which matches you can win."
Despite Keown's prediction, QPR, Burnley and Leicester will all believe that they have a chance of escaping trouble.
The likes of Aston Villa, Sunderland and Hull City are all within touching distance of the clubs currently in the drop zone and plenty of twists and turns could happen yet.
With seven games remaining in the Premier League, the relegation battle could well go down to the final day of the season.
If it does then it looks set to be a thrilling climax to the campaign and all eyes will be focused on the bottom of the league, rather than the top - with Chelsea looking certainties to win the title.
