Harry Redknapp shares his damning opinion on Newcastle United

Harry Redknapp's former side Queens Park Rangers face Newcastle United on the final day of the season.

Harry Redknapp has told TalkSPORT that Newcastle United are 'doing nothing' at the moment and they are the opponents every team in the Premier League wants to face.

Queens Park Rangers host Newcastle in the penultimate game of the season and Redknapp believes that it is the 'perfect' fixture for his old side.

QPR desperately need to start collecting victories if they are to avoid the drop this season and Redknapp feels they have a good chance to do so against Newcastle - which could be crucial with the relegation battle set to go down to the wire.

“QPR have got to play Newcastle at home and if you could pick anyone to play at the moment, you would take Newcastle," he said. "They are doing nothing. It is a great fixture for QPR."

Newcastle have won just two of the 13 matches that John Carver has taken charge of and they appear to have totally switched off.

The Magpies have not shown any desire or passion in their recent matches and if they fail to raise their performance levels by the time they face QPR they are likely to come away from Loftus Road empty-handed.

The R's have shown their attacking threat in their last two matches, where they have scored seven goals, and they will be looking to take advantage of Newcastle's struggles when they meet.

It could be that three points from that fixture will keep QPR safe and Redknapp appears to believe that is within their capabilities.
