To be played on Saturday 11th April 2015 at 15:00. Venue: City Ground, Nottingham
Odds: Forest 19/20, Draw 13/5, Huddersfield 5/2
Forest, having dropped five points in their last two outings against play-off hopefuls Wolverhampton Wanderers and Brentford, are now 13 points adrift of the top six with only 15 left to play for.
At the opposite end of the Championship scale, Huddersfield have opened up a 12-point cushion on the relegation places.
They could, in theory, be dragged in trouble, but those seriously wedged in a basement battle have offered little to suggest that they have a late surge in them.
As a result, both Dougie Freedman and Chris Powell are now in the position to experiment – both with personnel and tactically – should they wish to do so.
The Terriers boss has admitted that he intends to offer senior minutes to a few of his promising youngsters before the season is out – as reported by the Huddersfield Examiner – while the Reds have already thrust academy graduate Tyler Walker into the first-team mix.
It could be that vital experience is offered to the stars of the tomorrow at the City Ground on Saturday, with those looking to prove a point likely to carry more motivation than those aware that the summer holidays are just around the corner.
For Huddersfield, they will be looking to end the campaign with a flourish – dashing any suggestion that Powell is unsettled in his post – while Forest are seeking to build on a productive run on home soil that has delivered five victories in their lasts six outings in front of their own supporters.

“We are on the same page. We have had positive talks about it. Contract talks are going well and there is no rush. It is a formality. There is nothing that will hold me back from signing it. It is just making sure we have the right tools in place.”

“I have thoughts on giving some of the younger players a chance, to let them experience a first-team match. But you always have to be sure the timing is right, both in terms of the team and the players themselves.”
