Bank Of America Corner Signs

Bank of America has named Diego De Giorgi and Karim Assef as co-heads of global investment banking, pairing a London-based banker who has focused on Europe and emerging markets with a veteran of the business.

Bloomberg News reports that both will report to Christian Meissner, who runs the company’s corporate and investment bank, the firm said Wednesday in a memo to employees.

De Giorgi, 45, will remain in London, while Assef is based in New York. The move brings investment-banking operations under a new tier of management to improve collaboration.

In the meantime, Reuters reports that Credit Suisse said on Thursday it has named John Knox as the new CEO for Australia, effective May 1, replacing Rob Stewart who is leaving to pursue other opportunities.

Knox, who will also become the sole head of investment banking in Australia, will report to Credit Suisse Asia Pacific CEO Helman Sitohang.
