West Brom midfielder Youssouf Mulumbu accidentally votes for wrong player to win PFA award

The West Brom star got his Young Player and Player of the Year awards muddled up regarding Eden Hazard and Harry Kane.

With the season coming to a close it is that time of year again when players have to cast their votes for PFA Player and PFA Young Player of the Year.

This year the awards are set be dominated by wither Eden Hazard of Chelsea or Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane – even if the likes of Alexis Sanchez, Santi Cazorla and Philippe Coutinho would like to muscle in.

One man who has revealed both got his vote is West Brom midfielder Youssouf Mulumbu. The Congolese midfield force took to Twitter earlier today to confirm he had voted for the Chelsea player as PFA Player of the Year and the Spurs striker as PFA Young Player of the Year.

He also kidded that he had voted for international colleague and Peterborough United man mountain Gabriel Zakuani as his defender of the season. This came after also filling in his sheet incorrectly the first time around.

Of course few votes are likely to go Mulumbu’s way. He has had a difficult season by his standards. Interrupted by poor form, injury, the African Nations and now suspension after seeing red against QPR at the weekend, Mulumbu has played 770 minutes of Premier League football this season.
