Aston Villa manager Tim Sherwood can’t be faulted in terms of emotion, passion and genuine belief for the job he’s trying to finish at Villa Park.
Villa secured a valuable point in their attempt to stay in the Premier League following a 3-3 draw against QPR in a match which saw the emotions of the manager go round in a complete circle.
Sherwood was visibly delighted when Villa striker Christian Benteke started to go goal crazy, but he was left fuming as QPR gradually fought their way back into the game.
His frustration is understandable considering the club’s next two Premier League games are not easy; Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City.
Those difficult matches increased the importance of a victory last night, but Sherwood is a realist and will quickly get his team focused on achieving the best possible results in the club’s next two games.
Hopefully in the club’s next outing, Sherwood will be back to his excited and jubilant self, which all of the club’s fans will want to see more than the figure throwing a piece of clothing to the floor in frustration.
