How Liverpool players reacted to the club's FA Cup quarter-final win.

Liverpool players reacted with delight after securing a place in the FA Cup semi-finals after a hard fought clash with Blackburn Rovers.

Coutinho's goal proved the difference, and ensured Liverpool can still end the season on a high.

The Reds were coming off two defeats against competitors Manchester United and Arsenal which have left their Champions League qualification chances teetering. A loss to Championship side Blackburn could have killed any remaining positivity in the dressing room.

The victory however has boosted the spirits of the players, many of who used Twitter to convey their excitement at reaching the semi-finals.

In the semi-finals Liverpool face Aston Villa, who are in the midst of a relegation battle, but will be out to make the most of an opportunity to reach May's final.

The reward would be a clash with the winner of Arsenal versus Reading, with the Gunners the clear favourites, and perhaps Liverpool may just get the chance to exact revenge for the 4-1 hammering they sustained at The Emirates at the weekend.
