The Brazilian defender has also praised the overall quality of the Premier League.
The Brazilian joined the Gunners from La Liga side Villarreal during the January transfer window and has so far proved to be an astute signing by Arsene Wenger having won all six matches he has featured in.
Rather than praising his own credentials though, he is keen to highlight the quality of his teammates, saying that as a group their individual qualities make them a great team.
“If you look at our individual qualities we make a great team,” said Gabriel.
“Every player knows his quality, we have top-quality training facilities and an excellent team. That’s why we are playing well especially now in the last weeks of the season.”
The defender has also praised the quality of the Premier League in general, listing it as one of the principal reasons why he decided to make the move to the Emirates.
The Gunners had endured a slow start to the campaign but now find themselves second in the table, seven points behind leaders Chelsea who also have a game in hand.
Despite enjoying a fine run of form in the Premier League at present, having seen off Champions League rivals Liverpool 4-1 last weekend, Gabriel insists that there are no weak teams in the competition.
“The Premier League is a tough competition,” he added.
“It’s a tight competition with no weak teams. If you lose a game, the team below you in the table will get closer. We are aware of the difficulties, but we are on the right path.”
