According to the Daily Mail, Southampton scouts have been watching former Tottenham winger Paul-Jose M'Poku ahead of a possible summer move.
The Saints have enjoyed a superb season under Ronald Koeman, but with loanees Eljero Elia and Filip Djuricic scheduled to return to their parent clubs this summer, Koeman may well need to snap up another winger in the transfer window.
Sadio Mane has been a success this term but the Daily Mail believe that Southampton scouts are watching winger M'Poku ahead of a possible summer move.
The DR Congo international was on the books with Tottenham from 2008 to 2011, but returned to his former club Standard Liege after a loan spell with Leyton Orient.
M'Poku hit 19 goals in 78 for the Belgian side, and became a regular for the Belgium Under-21's before switching his allegiance to DR Congo, the country of his birth, earlier this year.
The pacey wide man was snapped up by Qatari club Al-Arabi in January, but was immediately sent out on loan to Cagliari, where he has scored just once in eight games.
The Daily Mail believe that Southampton scouts have been impressed with M'Poku's displays, and with Al-Arabi reportedly willing to sell him for just £4m, the Saints could make a move for the 22-year-old this summer.
