Leeds United head coach Neil Redfearn will receive a bonus of £50,000 if he leads the club to 12th or above in the Championship this season, according to The Daily Star.
It has also been reported by the British newspaper that the Englishman is on a £200,000-a-year rolling deal at the West Yorkshire outfit.
“Redfearn has a clause in his contract that guarantees him a £50,000 bonus if Leeds finish 12th or better in the Championship,” stated the report.
“It is understood Redfearn is desperate to achieve his target and pocket the bonus before considering his next move in the summer,” added the report.
Leeds are currently 14th in the Championship table with 52 points from 41 matches, just two points behind 12th-placed Sheffield Wednesday.
The West Yorkshire outfit have been in disappointing form in recent weeks, having not won a game in the league since March 18.
The Whites stumbled to a 1-1 draw with Blackpool away from home before the two-week international break.
Then on Saturday, Leeds went down 3-0 to Blackburn Rovers at Elland Road, and on Monday, they narrowly lost 4-3 to Wolverhampton Wanderers away from home at Molineux.
However, the Whites have a squad that is strong and full of energy, and one suspects that the players will be determined to return to winning ways against Cardiff City at home on Saturday.
