Ramsey sets wins target that will keep QPR in the Premier League

Queens Park Rangers manager Chris Ramsey wants his side to win another three games this season.

Queens Park Rangers manager Chris Ramsey has told London24 that his side will need three more wins if they are to confirm their status as a Premier League club.

The R's are in the thick of a relegation battle and Ramsey believes that his side still have a lot of work to do if they are to avoid the drop.

As a result, Ramsey believes that QPR's home form will be crucial to their chances of survival and he wants to take maximum points at Loftus Road.

“I don’t know what we need but we’re probably going to have to win three games. I don’t know what the points total will be but our two home games are going to be very important after Chelsea," he said.

“We have got a couple of very difficult ones in Liverpool and Manchester City and then we have the potential cup final against Leicester on the last day of the season."

QPR are currently in 18th position, having played a game more than most of the teams around them, so they will need to put together a run of form if they are to avoid the drop.

The signs more recently have been that this is within their capabilities, with the R's performances winning them a number of admirers.

QPR were in fine attacking form in a 3-3 draw against Aston Villa last night and if they can continue to show their quality going forward they should be in a good position for the rest of the season.

The London outfit's remaining fixtures come against Chelsea, West Ham United, Liverpool, Manchester City, Newcastle United and Leicester City, and Ramsey clearly feels that nine more points will keep them in the top flight.
