Josh Ginnelly should choose Nottingham Forest over Premier League rivals

Stadium - Shrewsbury v Chelsea

The Shrewsbury Town winger is reportedly wanted by Newcastle United and Sunderland.

Josh Ginnelly was released by Aston Villa in 2013 aged 16. But now he is looking at a return to the Premier League.

He joined Shrewsbury Town when his deal at Villa was cut short and has since gone on to cement himself a place in the first-team squad. He possesses lightning pace and a bag of tricks, which has reportedly caught the eye of Premier League suitors.

It was reported yesterday by Goal.com that both Newcastle United and Sunderland were keen on the player – with Stoke City also interested.

But it is a Championship side who are interested that should push for his signature.

Nottingham Forest are also reported as keeping an eye on the player. It is here he should go.

The report claims Ginnelly has rejected a pro contract at the New Meadow and that Forest are hopeful of getting hold of him.

So why should he go to Forest?

Firstly, he will be more likely to get regular first team football in the Championship then he would in the Premier League.

Then there is the point that Forest actually need him. They are short if wingers and another ones arrival would be welcomed.

Ginnelly has the pace and trickery to be a hit with the Forest fans and if he is leaving Shrewsbury then the City Ground should be his destination.
