Tottenham media round-up, Walker losing fitness race, midfield trio could depart

A selection of the latest stories in the media involving Tottenham Hotspur this Wednesday evening.

Tottenham could be without Kyle Walker this weekend, with the right-back likely to miss the Premier League clash against Aston Villa at White Hart Lane according to the London Evening Standard.

Walker limped off early in the second half of last weekend's 0-0 draw against Burnley with a foot injury. If Walker does miss out, Vlad Chiriches is likely to line up at right-back for Tim Sherwood's return to White Hart Lane.

The report also says Head Coach Mauricio Pochettino will hope for the return to action of Jan Vertonghen to minimise the damage caused by Walker's loss, after he missed the trip to Turf Moor through illness.

The Standard has also reported that Alex Pritchard has been given positive feedback by Pochettino during his time at Championship side Brentford, and the midfielder is confident as a result of making an impression on the Tottenham first team next season.

Within that same report, three midfielders could be on their way out, with it stated that the club are willing to listen to offers for Mousa Dembele, Paulinho and Etienne Capoue. The latter two of the three have struggled to get regular first team games this season.

Pritchard's form is also said to have put 'other top flight clubs' on alert, suggesting some kind of deal could be done next season if he doesn't get regular first team football - but both Ryan Mason and Nabil Bentaleb have shown there are going to be opportunities for younger players at Spurs.
