Former Liverpool hero Pepe Reina congratulates Petr Cech on his ability, but not goalkeeping

The Spaniard is more impressed by his drumming than his keeping.

You could say that perhaps Petr Cech and Pepe Reina are kindred spirits.

Both are world class goalkeepers, both are cult figures at respected Premier League football clubs and both had their first-choice place at those teams snatched away from them by young Belgians.

But the former Liverpool man shared his appreciation for the Chelsea stopper on Twitter today, sending this message of support to Petr Cech.

However the message was not regarding his goalkeeping prowess, but in fact his ability on the drums!

Cech is often seen showing off his drumming ability on his official Facebook page or Twitter account and he has been doing so once again today.

He was drumming over the track Piromanos by Spanish band Vetusta Morla, which is perhaps what perked Reina’s attention even more.

With Cech coming to the end of his illustrious career at Chelsea who knows what his next move might be. He could continue playing and find himself a new team or he could start a rock group called ‘Between the Sticks’ with Reina on lead, Brad Friedel on bass and Thomas Sorensen on rhythm.

That would be a sight!
