Palace star Scott Dann outlines 'main goal' for season

Crystal Palace are looking to claim a top-half Premier League finish.

Scott Dann has told the Daily Star that the main objective for Crystal Palace over the remainder of the season will be to continue to play without fear.

Palace have attacked with freedom since Alan Pardew took over and Dann feels that it will be important that they keep this mentality for the remainder of the campaign.

"The main goal for us is to catch the people in front of us and keep on enjoying playing and play with that freedom to go out there and express ourselves," he said.

"There is no reason why we can't do that. We have got a great run of games now. The next three games we have a chance to put a real stamp on it and get as high as we can."

There is a feeling of optimism and excitement around Selhurst Park at the moment, with Pardew delivering great success to the club since taking over.

A win over Manchester City in their most recent fixture was recognition of how much they have improved since Pardew took charge and the hope will be that they can climb into the top-half over the remainder of the campaign.

Palace are currently three points away from the top 10 and they will be able to breach that gap if they maintain their recent form. Doing so could be tough, especially with little to play for, but Dann clearly feels that is within their capabilities.

The Eagles face games against Sunderland, West Bromwich Albion and Hull City in their next three fixtures and if they can pick up a sizeable number of points from those matches then they could well claim one of their highest ever Premier League finishes.
