Alan Pardew should look at recruiting Sammy Ameobi for Crystal Palace, with Newcastle United seemingly willing to take a risk with his contract.
Ameobi's contract expires this summer and so far no new deal has been presented to the 22-year-old wide man, with the Telegraph suggesting that his future is still up in the air.
It means that Ameobi may well be considering his options and Palace should look to take advantage of this current situation by expressing their interest.
Ameobi may not be a player who could immediately enhance the quality of their starting line-up, but he possesses the raw ability to become a star.
The jinking winger has shown glimpses of quality this season and, under Pardew, he made a number of impressive performances at Newcastle.
He has struggled to show consistency, but Palace is a place where tricky wingers have thrived in recent times and Ameobi could add to their current ranks.
The likes of Wilfried Zaha and Yannick Bolasie have become two of the Eagles' main players and Ameobi is another in their mould.
Skilful, direct and powerful, the Newcastle youngster would offer good cover and if he did manage to fulfil his obvious potential he could become a bargain buy.
It means that the transfer is one that Pardew should consider, as the risk is little, but the reward for showing some faith now could be huge in the future.
