Bank of America Merrill Lynch has hired Michael Wise, a banker specializing in equity sales for financial institutions, as a vice chairman of global equity capital markets, the firm announced in an internal memorandum on Monday.

The New York Times reports that he will focus on bringing in financial and industrial companies as clients, according to the memo.

In the meantime, Reuters reports that Dutch cooperative lender Rabobank appointed Donald Meltzer as vice chairman and head of mergers and acquisitions for its North America wholesale banking division.

Meltzer, who has nearly 30 years of experience in investment banking, spent 20 years at Credit Suisse First Boston in New York and London.
