Leeds United fell to a disappointing 4-3 defeat to Wolves yesterday.
Leeds United fell to defeat at the hands of Wolves in the late kick off yesterday, which would have disappointed Neil Redfearn after a poor performance against Blackburn last weekend.
Leeds were gutsy and fought hard but Redfearn will be disappointed with the manner of the defeat and will be questioning how the team came away from the match with nothing, despite having scored three goals.
Here are our player ratings for the match.
Silvestri – 5
Has been one of the side’s most consistent players this season, but he will have better matches and could have done better with at least two goals.
Wootton – 6
Worked hard and persisted on the right hand side. Early booking meant he was always under pressure.
Bamba – 7
Bamba looked like a real leader at the back. He organised things well and looked like a really powerful unit when he had the chance to get forward.
Cooper – 5
Nowhere near his best and will be disappointed with the performance of the backline as well as his own positional play.
Berardi – 6
Looked caught out on a couple of occasions. Needed more from the centre backs to help him with his position.
Murphy – 6
Played in a controlling role just in front of the back four. Debatable whether this suits him and Wolves targeted him throughout.
Byram – 6
Worked hard and did his best to inject some width and pace into the attacking play.
Phillips – 6
Looked a little overawed by the occasion, but worked hard throughout the game and calmed down after an emotional start.
Mowatt – 7
Added another goal to his tally for the season. Seems to have remarkable composure inside the opponent’s penalty area.
Taylor – 7
Deserves credit for pouncing for the opener with a neat finish, which shows the talent and potential he has in attack.
Antenucci – 6
Worked hard up front but lacked the presence and imposing nature of Steve Morison who has been playing as the target man.
