Tottenham media round-up, scan result wait for Walker, Ayew and Roberts linked

A selection of the latest stories in the media involving Tottenham Hotspur this Tuesday evening.

Tottenham are awaiting scan results on an injury sustained by right-back Kyle Walker during the 0-0 draw with Burnley on Sunday, according to the London Evening Standard.

Walker appeared to sustain a foot injury towards the end of the first half after a challenge with Kieran Trippier which forced him off after the half-time break - though Head Coach Mauricio Pochettino said after the game he thought it was nothing more than a heavy blow.

In terms of transfers, Spurs have registered their interest in Marseille forward Andrew Ayew, according to a report in the Daily Mail.

Ayew is out of contract in the summer with the player's representatives now aware of the interest Spurs have in the 25-year-old.

The report also says Spurs face a lot of competition in order to land Ayew, with Inter Milan among a 'host of leading European clubs' competing for his signature.

Another player that is being linked with a potential move to White Hart Lane is Fulham teenager Patrick Roberts according to a report in the Daily Telegraph.

The article says there are a number of Premier League clubs expected to be interested in the 18-year-old including Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester United and Manchester City - so with such fierce competition it would be a major coup if Spurs were to land his signature.

The forward has just one year left on his contract, and Fulham are likely to demand less than the £15 million they were reportedly after last summer, with the side struggling in the Championship, though it looks like they will avoid back-to-back relegations.
