The former Arsenal striker made the comments during BT Sport’s Football Tonight show on Monday.
“I will have to go for Alexis Sanchez because I am an Arsenal man,” Wright said when asked who he would rather have in his Fantasy Football team: Hazard or Sanchez.
“Purely (because of that). I love Eden Hazard, but I am not going to upset Arsenal fans right now.”
While Wright has gone with Sanchez, many football fans will pick Hazard in their Fantasy Football team ahead of the Arsenal star.
The Chelsea winger has been in superb form this season and has been arguably the best player in the Premier League this campaign.
The 24-year-old Belgium international has scored 12 goals and created 86 chances in 30 Premier League appearances, while having a pass accuracy of 87% and a shot accuracy of 61%.
Hazard has won 12 headers, 144 dribbles and 22 tackles, and has been key in Chelsea’s title challenge.
Meanwhile, Arsenal forward Sanchez has been the best player for Arsenal this campaign, although his form has dipped over the last few weeks.
The Chile international has scored 14 goals and created 67 chances in 28 Premier League appearances, while having a pass accuracy of 76% and a shot accuracy of 64%.
Sanchez has won 19 headers, 98 dribbles and 42 tackles, and has suffered 57 fouls.
