Three Spurs stars who badly disappointed during bore Burnley draw

Three Tottenham Hotspur players who made a bad game of football look even worse...

Nacer Chadli

The Tottenham winger has come in for plenty of criticism recently but sympathy has been expressed with regards to the sad passing of Nacer Chadli's father.

Whether the trauma is still playing on the 25-year-old's mind it would be unfair to comment. But his performances have certainly failed to improve.

Against Burnley, the Spurs man was clumsy and ineffective. He lost the ball, committed fouls and couldn't force anything past the Clarets' back line. Yes, Chadli can still offer the north London side plenty and is a talented and very capable player. He also looks like he is in major need of a break, however.

Kyle Walker

Often, performances boil down to one moment that will be remembered when fans leave a game (or turn off the television or stream).

For Kyle Walker, that moment against Burnley would have been his dallying on the ball in the box before passing to an offside player. Granted, Tottenham team-mate Christian Eriksen could have played him a more forward pass but Walker's hesitance was comical.

Compared to his incredibly poor recent standard of displays, a mediocre performance without too many mistakes before being forced off through injury wasn't too bad. But the right-back is still not showing any signs of improvement. And that'll worry supporters.

Speaking of being remembered for one single moment, there is no question as to what Paulinho's defining moment was against Burnley.

In the second half, the Brazilian tried an extravagant shot that ended up going horribly wide. The Spurs man certainly didn't do himself any favours there...

The recipient of heavy criticism after the Burnley draw, questions about Paulinho's Tottenham future will only have intensified after Sunday. Has anyone made less of an impact after such expectation at a Premier League club?
