Manchester United fans react on Twitter to Cristiano Ronaldo’s heroics against Granada

Former Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo scored five goals for Real Madrid against Granada in La Liga on Saturday.

Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo has been struggling for form over the past few months, but he turned on the style against Granada on Sunday.

The former Manchester United star scored as many as five goals in Madrid’s 9-1 hammering of Granada at the Santiago Bernabeu.

The 30-year-old scored a hat-trick in the space of eight minutes in the first half, and then added two more to his tally in the second period.

This is the first time that Ronaldo has scored five goals in a game, and his strikes helped Madrid maintain their challenge for La Liga title.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side are currently second in the league table with 67 points from 29 matches, four points behind leaders Barcelona and five clear of defending Spanish champions Atletico Madrid, who are third at the moment.

Following Ronaldo’s heroics against Granada, United fans took to social networking site Twitter to rave about him and urged him to return to Old Trafford.
