Diablo 3 in a third-person view looks great

Blizzard's Diablo 3 is shown from a different angle in this new YouTube video.

My girlfriend and I have played our fair share of Diablo III, and we love, a lot. The standard isometric view is a staple of the series and there's nothing wrong with it, but a new video showcasing what a third-person viewpoint looks like has me intrigued.

Monstrousd3 has uploaded a video showing Diablo III played "from a different perspective resembling a mmorpg," he writes in the video's description. It's not a mod, however, he basically tinkered with the camera using third-party software, just to give us a glimpse at what the game looks like from an MMO-style view.

The main aspect of the video I like is that you can see much more detail on the environments and enemies. They're more detailed than I thought they would be.

It certainly has that MMO look, although it would have been nice to see the characters moving about, as they're all static in the video. Anyway, take a gander at the footage below and let us know what you think.

Thanks, Kotaku.
