Rangers have maintained their chances of finishing in the Scottish Championship playoffs with a narrow 2-1 victory over Heart of Midlothian at home.
The Gers took the lead at Ibrox just before the half-hour mark through Kenny Miller, who found the target with his left foot after connecting with a Lee Wallace cross.
Newcastle United-owned attacking midfielder Haris Vuckic doubled the advantage for Rangers on 38 minutes, firing home from inside the Hearts penalty box after being teed up by Dean Shiels.
However, Rangers were reduced to 10 men just before the half-time interval when Lee McCulloch was sent off for fighting.
That gave Hearts the initiative to step up their game in the second half, and Genero Zeefuik halved the deficit in the 83rd minute with a right-footed effort from just yards out.
The visitors pressed on for the equaliser, but Rangers held on for the win.
