Charlie Adam scored one of the goals of the season on Saturday.
It was one of the best goals ever scored in the Premier League, as former Rangers and Liverpool star Adam spotted Blues goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois off his line and smashed the ball home from around 65 yards out.
Adam’s strike made it 1-1, but it was Chelsea who ended up with the three points, Loic Remy scoring the winning goal just past the hour mark.
However, the match will be forever remember for the Scotland international’s sensational strike.
Adam’s wondergoal impressed a number of present and past footballers, who took to social networking site Twitter to lavish praise on the 29-year-old.
Below are the best reactions, featuring former Liverpool stars Michael Owen and Jamie Carragher, Tottenham Hotspur legend Gary Lineker and Aston Villa-owned Nottingham Forest midfielder Gary Gardner.
Great as it was and taking nothing away from my mate Charlie but no way am I having that one long strike is a goal of the season candidate.— michael owen (@themichaelowen) April 4, 2015
And to the few that disagree, the difficulty level of kicking a ball long and straight isn't high. Not that I could kick it that far!— michael owen (@themichaelowen) April 4, 2015
