The Spanish attacker is being linked with a move to the Premier League.
In September 2014 it was reported by Sky Sports that Liverpool had failed in a bid for Lazio youngster Keita Balde Diao. His agent had commented on the report. Anglo Cascella stated that Liverpool made a £16 million bid for the player along with Italian side Juventus:
"Liverpool and Juventus offered a sum of 20 million euros for Keita last summer, but Lazio always rejected their offers."
Liverpool missed out on the player, but it seems that Manchester City might be keen - according to his lawyer.
Rafa Coto is quoted by TMW to have stated that City have spoken to him about the services of the talented striker:
"I am the lawyer of Keita and other players. I confirm that I ate with Begiristain in Barcelona, we talked about all the players who in one way or another have to do with me. The City has made offers for Keita."
Keita is currently fighting to get his Spanish passport. He was born in the country and was formerly in the youth team at Barcelona. Once he does he will be an EU citizen and a move to England would be far less complicated.
It seems plenty of teams are keen on his services.
The 20-year-old played 1,369 minutes last season but has only featured for 610 this term, so would certainly welcome a move.
It looks like Manchester City and Liverpool might just have a chance, but City appear to be the front-runners.
