Confirmed: Sunderland v Newcastle United line-ups

This is how Sunderland and Newcastle United will line up at the Stadium of Light this afternoon…

Sunderland will be looking to return to winning ways in the Premier League this afternoon, when they take on Newcastle United at home.

The Black Cats will head into the clash at the Stadium of Light on the back of a 1-0 defeat to West Ham United away from home in London before the two-week international break.

Dick Advocaat’s side are currently 17th in the Premier League table with 26 points from 30 matches, just a point above the relegation zone.

Meanwhile, heading into today’s Tyne-Wear derby, Newcastle find themselves 13th in the standings at the moment with 35 points from 30 matches.

The Magpies are currently struggling for form and for points at the moment, having lost all three of their Premier League matches last month, conceding six goals and scoring just one in the process.

Moreover, Newcastle have lost their last four Premier League matches against Sunderland and have earned only five points from their previous nine away fixtures.
