Leigh Griffiths reacts on Twitter to Celtic’s win against St. Mirren

Celtic defeated St. Mirren away from home in the Scottish Premiership on Friday.

Celtic striker Leigh Griffiths has taken to social networking site Twitter to revel in the side’s victory over St. Mirren away from home in the Scottish Premiership on Friday.

The Bhoys continued their march towards the Premiership title with a 2-0 win at St. Mirren Park in Paisley.

After a goalless first half, James Forrest put Celtic in the lead on 64 minutes when he finished Adam Matthew's cut-back.

Stefan Johansen made it 2-0 in the 79th minute when he found the target from the penalty spot, after Viktor Genev had handled the ball inside the St. Mirren box.

Griffiths, who was part of the Celtic matchday squad but was an unused substitute, was delighted with the three points and posted the following message on Twitter.

Celtic are now eight points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership table and are on course to winning the league title.

Ronny Deila’s side have picked up 69 points from 29 matches, while Aberdeen have collected 61 points.
