The youngster is banned for Forest’s Championship clashes against Brentford away from home on Monday and against Huddersfield Town at the City Ground next weekend.
Gardner, who joined Forest on loan from Aston Villa in the January transfer window, played the entire 90 minutes of the Reds’ game against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The match was a tight affair and ended in a 2-1 defeat for the Nottingham-based outfit, and Gardner believes that the team did not deserve to lose the contest.
So gutted we lost today didn't think we deserved too and gutted I'm suspended for the next 2 games fans where top notch!— Gary Gardner (@22Gards) April 3, 2015
Gardner gave a decent account of himself against Wolves. The 22-year-old took four shots, had a pass accuracy of 69%, created one chance, put in two crosses, attempted one dribble, won 50% of the tackles and 67% of the aerial duels, and made two interceptions and as many clearances.
