The much-maligned winger bagged a goal last night.
Last night Celtic continued their march to the Scottish Premiership title with a comfortable victory over St Mirren in Paisley. They won the game 2-0 with goals from James Forrest and Stefan Johansen doing the job. It means that Celtic are now eight points clear of Aberdeen in second place in the table, and look well on course for league glory.
It was hardly an inspiring performance, but Celtic rarely needed to get out of second gear in order to defeat the basement club.
But a goal from Jimmy Forrest was perhaps the talk of Twitter among Celtic fans after the game.
He netted after a good piece of work from captain Scott Brown and returning right-back Adam Matthews. It was his third goal of the season, his second against St Mirren this term, and will hopefully prove a step in the right direction.
The 23-year-old has hardly been a fan favourite this campaign, with many Celtic supporters critical of his performances when he gets a chance to impress.
So many fans on Twitter are hoping this latest strike can see him go on a good run of form.
Some, however, remain unimpressed, and cannot wait to see him out of the team.
Here is the best reaction to James Forrest's performance from Twitter...

I think Ronny would love a side with Mackay-Steven & Forrest on form. On their game both have blistering pace and a goal threat.— Jarlath Eoin (@AllDoTheHuddle) April 3, 2015
