Celtic manager Ronny Deila has revealed on BT Sport that he rants at his players when things go wrong.
The Norwegian boss made the comments during an interview with club legend Chris Sutton which was broadcast before the Bhoys’ Scottish Premiership clash against St. Mirren away from home on Friday evening.
"Are you a ranter?" Sutton asked Deila, to which the Celtic boss replied: “What is a ranter?”
“A ranter is shouter," said Sutton. "Or do you prefer to be really analytical?"
“I am a ranter," replied Deila. "But it is tougher to be a ranter in English. I yell at them in Norwegian, but they don’t understand.”
Deila laughed when he admitted that he is a ranter, but it does give an insight into his managerial style.
The 39-year-old is his own man, and over the course of the 2014-15 campaign at Celtic, he has shown that he is not afraid to speak his mind in public and make tough decisions.
The fact that the Norwegian shouts at his players suggests that he has the dressing room under control and knows that the team will listen to him.
After all, not many players would be happy with their manager having a go at them, but Deila appears to have got the message across that he is the boss.
