Leeds United striker Mirco Antenucci trains despite the ongoing uncertainty surrounding him.
Leeds United have published a shot of top scorer Mirco Antenucci in training ahead of this week's fixtures.
The club's official website released the image, also displaying Brazilian loanee Adryan, who has not started a league game in 2015.
The image is clearly up to date as it shows another loanee Granddi Ngoyi behind Antenucci, who only returned to training this week. Alex Mowatt is also seen at the front, returned from his break with England's under-20s.
The article on the club's website included confirmation Lewis Cook would miss the match with Blackburn with an injury sustained for England under-19s.
Antenucci's presence at training is especially notable after Simon Austin's story for The Sun which revealed the striker is just one goal away from triggering a bonus in his contract, to activate an extra year's extension. It was claimed head coach has been told not to pick the Italian.
The striker's agent Silvio Pagliari issued a statement on his website later on Thursday evening explaining he had enquired with sporting director Nicola Salerno about the report, who had denied the stipulation, and hoped he would be picked to start.
While Antenucci has not been a regular in Redfearn's line-up recently, he remains their top scorer and has two goals in his last two games. and a lot of questions can be answered if he is picked at home to Blackburn on Saturday.
