The Portuguese playmaker is currently on loan at Brighton and Hove Albion.
Liverpool have plenty of top young talent in their ranks, so much so that it sometimes overspills and players have to go out on loan.
One such player is Portuguese youngster Joao Teixeira.
The 22-year-old joined Liverpool from Sporting Lisbon in 2012 and is regarded as one of their top talents. He previously had a spell on loan at Brentford but has spent this season at Brighton and Hove Albion.
He has recently proven himself to be a great prospect, scoring six goals in all competitions.
Last weekend he got the opportunity to play among the stars, as he took part in the Liverpool All-Stars match at Anfield.
He has now spoken about the game, in an interview with the official Brighton website:
“It was a great experience for me as a young player and to play with all of these legends together.
“It was fantastic to play with John Terry, Xabi Alonso, Steven Gerrard, Luis Suarez, and Fernando Torres.”
There is no doubt that the experience must have been a really special moment for the player. The players on show were certainly of a top class order and he would have revelled in the chance to play alongside them.
He has been impressive at Brighton this term and he will be hoping to break through to the first-team in the near future, and make appearances at Anfield on a far more regular basis.
